Sexual violence goes far beyond harm to just one person; it affects whole communities and has broad-ranging impacts on educational involvement, employment, housing, families, health, and relationships.
We work closely with Gippsland communities to develop resilience, belonging, inclusivity, and opportunity, to ensure that people who have been impacted by sexual assault can be supported to recover quicker.
It is our purpose to help build strong, healthy Gippsland communities to reduce the prevalence of sexual assault. In addition to secondary and tertiary prevention initiatives, Gippsland CASA regularly participates in community and sector-based primary prevention activities to address the attitudes and behaviours that are associated with sexual violence, before it even occurs.
