The Gippsland Centre Against Sexual Assault Inc. is governed by a Board of Governance comprises of community members who are committed to the (GCASA) vision, who voluntarily commit their time, energy, knowledge, and skills to lead in an enthusiastic and dedicated way.
To this end, the GCASA Board actively reviews and refreshes priority areas of organisation governance, service planning and strategic priorities to reflect our organisational goals, accountability, and quality service provision. In addition to 11 Board meetings each year, the GCASA Board members are active in sub-committees, provided advice outside of meetings, participating in professional development and involving themselves in the life of the GCASA wherever possible.
Holly is a passionate advocate for education and skills in Gippsland. She is currently leading the clean economy portfolio at the Victorian Skills Authority. With previous roles at the Latrobe Valley Authority and Community College Gippsland she brings strengths in stakeholder engagement, strategy and collaboration across government, industry and community sectors.
Allan has joined the GCASA board bringing experience of roles in mental health, suicide prevention, homelessness and family violence. Passionate about supporting those experiencing disadvantage, especially through crisis, his real hope is to help drive community changes through prevention. With a masters degree in business administration, and strong experience in governance, the GCASA board is the combination of passion and experience.
Arfa is a respected cross-cultural leader and advocate for women, education, and inclusion. As President of UMSLV and Gippsland Diversity Advisor, she leads impactful community projects. A GCASA Board member and 2023 Multicultural Honour Roll inductee, Arfa is widely recognised for her leadership, advocacy, and commitment to social harmony.
Liam is a professional writer working as a regional journalist across Gippsland. His stories and photographs have been published across most Gippsland mastheads, covering a range of issues from all levels of government, community, industry, crime, sport and agriculture. He also provides content for various local news mediums and produces his own podcast series interviewing Gippsland locals.
Mathias is an experienced power industry leader. A 2025 Citizen of the Year recipient and Gippsland Community Leadership Program participant, he also serves not-for-profit boards, contributing expertise in governance, risk and community engagement across the Gippsland region in the NDIS and mental health spaces.
Kim joined the board in September 2025. She is a child health researcher and Professor at the University of Melbourne and Murdoch Children’s Research Institute. She is a passionate community member of the Latrobe Valley and brings a desire to see positive outcomes for all Gippsland residents and respectful access to great quality community services.
Jane has been GCASA’s CEO since 2018, bringing over 30 years’ experience in the community, education, and welfare sectors. A strong advocate for children and families, she has led innovative programs across Gippsland. Jane is widely recognised for her leadership and continues to champion trauma informed, inclusive, and community driven practice.
