Mindfulness Exercises

Mindfulness practice allows you to be able to identify, tolerate and reduce difficult, painful and even frightening thoughts, feelings and sensations; it gives you back some sense of mastery over them. Rather than feeling that you are being pushed around by your feelings and thoughts you learn to be able to have some agency over them.

Living well has some audio downloads with exercises that you may find of help.

You are not your thoughts

A short, guided meditation designed to create space between you and your thoughts. You don't have to believe everything you think, or act on everything you feel. Learn to witness your experience and become less reactive.

Just Breathe

This film is entirely unscripted – what the kids say is based purely on their own neuro-scientific understanding of difficult emotions, and how they cope through breathing and meditation.
